Quick Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi: The Flavorful 15-Minute Restaurant-Quality Meal
The most delicious dinner that will be ready in just 20 minutes.
When it comes to choosing what type of seafood dinner to make this time, some might opt for traditional pasta dishes that usually require a long list of ingredients and a lot of prep time.
However, preparing them will likely become something you won’t want to repeat every busy weeknight, so here’s a quick and easy version of the famous Italian-American classic — just fry your shrimp in a rich garlic butter sauce with a splash of lemon juice to get a light and hearty meal you’ll definitely want to repeat.
Ingredients: 4 cloves of garlic, 680 g of large peeled shrimp with tails, salt, ground black pepper, 2 tablespoons of butter, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes, 120 ml of dry white wine, 1½ tablespoons of lemon juice, a few sprigs of parsley.
Mince the garlic. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and black pepper.
In a large nonstick skillet, heat half of the oil over medium-high heat.
Arrange the seafood in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Place them on a plate.
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining oil to the same skillet. Cook the garlic and red pepper flakes for 30 seconds.
Pour in the wine and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice.
Add the shrimp to the sauce and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Stir to combine and remove from heat. Season with additional salt and pepper if need be.
