Rachel Zegler’s Snow White Scandal Continues With a Very Unexpected New Participant
The movie’s leading actress is currently involved in a messy smear campaign.
Disney ’s new live-action remake of 1937’s Snow White has caused another turmoil in the past couple of weeks, with the movie’s leading star getting all the blame for its failing theatrical run.
Having officially joined the cast back in 2021, Rachel Zegler has since suffered from constant backlash in regard to her taking on the role of Snow White and, according to the actress, continues receiving death threats amidst the movie’s catastrophic run in cinemas across the world.
The scandal, at this point involving Zegler’s Snow White colleagues and Disney producers, has recently gone even further when an unrelated public figure suddenly joined the discussion.
Sean Ono Lennon Slammed Rachel Zegler In a Now Deleted X Post
With the whole smear campaign now involving many prominent figures that criticised Zegler for both her on-screen character and some personal statements the actress has recently made, the son of Yoko Ono and John Lennon has also chimed in recently, fuelling the already heated discussion to a completely new level.
In a currently deleted X post, the screenshot of which was later published by Independent, Sean Lennon initially condemned Zegler’s “vilifaction”, though ultimately went on with slamming the actress for inappropriate behaviour.
“I agree the vilification went too far. But she also acts like a spoiled, ungrateful and disconnected brat. So it’s no surprise”, the full text says.
Rachel Zegler Is to Blame for Snow White’s Bad Reviews, Disney Producers Say
Apart from being slammed for not fitting the role in the slightest and speaking up in regard to several controversial matters, the actress has been officially labeled as the main reason for everything Disney’s movie now has to suffer from.
The first reviews for Snow White leaked in the media several days before the film’s world premiere, setting a pretty discouraging start for the remake that is currently underperforming in the box office and may easily result in Disney’s huge losses.

Things got messier when Snow White’s producer Marc Platt allegedly blamed Zegler for the movie’s disastrous start.
Platt’s son Jonah later on posted a lengthy text saying that the actress was rightfully accused of causing more trouble for the film while “dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicity for”.
“Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful. Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged”, Platt added, but since then deleted the post.
