The MCU and Star Wars do have a lot in common, so fandom's wish to see a 'What If...' series set in a galaxy far, far away sounds like a perfectly plausible idea.

'What If...' utilizes a pretty intriguing concept – what if your favorite comic book heroes didn't become what they're known for? That leaves the door open for such wonderful and original stories as Iron Man Spider, Captain Carter instead of Captain America and Marvel heroes fighting hordes of zombies. This Disney+ animated series has been a hit, but the idea is not new – Marvel Comics has been publishing similar stories since the early 1970s, and a variety of interesting storylines are still waiting to be adapted for the small screens.

And since Disney owns both Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, Kevin Feige can share this wonderful concept with his 'Star Wars ' colleagues. At least, that's what a lot of people on Reddit desperately want, hoping to see their favorite Jedi, Inquisitors and Sith in a brand-new light.

And, of course, one idea peaked fans interest almost immediately – what if prominent Jedi crossed over to the Dark Side, leaving behind their beliefs and green lightsabers. Heroes turning into villains is always interesting, and seeing Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and Yoda kill innocent people would be at least curious, if not great.

But Reddit wouldn't be Reddit if some fans haven't decided to share some hilarious ironic theories, including ideas for cooking reality shows and universes without Jar Jar Binks.

However, some fans take the current state of 'Star Wars' quite seriously, accusing Disney of destroying the franchise through the 'What If...' concept.
