"I knew going into it that this was likely going to be our final season," he told TV Insider. "Creatively, that was exciting because I knew we could spend the time wrapping up some storylines and driving toward an ending."

And he really did stick the landing. The Season 4 finale — which Sheridan called his "favourite episode of the series" — gave us closure but still left that little sting of "I wish there was more."
