Sometimes we want to erase something from our past, but it's just too late.

For example, when it comes to bad movies that actors made when they were young and not so popular. And even Hugh Grant is not an exception.

As it turned out, there are some movies he wishes he never took part in. But what's done is done.

Grant recently appeared on The Late Late Show with his co-star Chris Pine to promote the movie Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

During the show, he was asked if he had any regrets about any movies in his career. Apparently, he had a long list, but like a true gentleman, he couldn't reveal it because it might make his co-stars look bad.

"I would happily shred my IMDB page, my CV, because I specialized in being bad for decades really. I got better. As you know, as someone in the industry, it's one thing to say I was bad, but I can't bring down the rest of my wonderful colleagues who worked with me on any film by saying it was bad ... that's my dilemma," Grant said in the interview.

He admitted that there was a period when many of his performances were bad, but there is one particular movie he really regrets being a part of.

After some hesitation, he finally spilled the beans. It turns out that the movie he wanted to erase from his filmography is The Lady and the Highwayman.

It's a British TV movie that aired in 1989, a romantic adventure starring him and Lysette Anthony.

The thing Grant hated most about this movie was actually the time setting, which made him look like a man from the 1600s.

It meant he had to wear a wig and a ridiculous costume. However, Grant also isn't fond of his own performance.

"I'm a highwayman. I'm meant to be sexy. Low-budget, bad wig, bad hat, I look like Deputy Dawg. When I'm tense, I don't know if this happens to you when you're acting, my voice goes up two octaves. So, I, Deputy Dawg would come leaping out of trees when a carriage went past, and go, 'Stand and deliver!' It's poor... but, I apologize to all my wonderful colleagues on it. Well done."

Well, hopefully Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is nothing like that British love story, and the actor will really enjoy playing a big part in the movie, which has already hit theaters.
