This show glorifies a luxurious lifestyle, but lacks intelligence, and genuine emotion.

Metacritic summed up the disappointing year in television by compiling a list of the worst shows of 2025.

Metacritic Named Ryan Murphy's 'All's Fair' the Worst TV Series of the Year

All's Fair, a series from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, topped the list.

Despite its star-studded cast and success on Hulu, the project scored a disastrous 17 out of 100 on Metacritic and was deemed the worst by critics. Next in line was another Murphy project, Monster: The Ed Gein Story.

All's Fair, billed as a feminist legal drama, was called tasteless, vapid, and pseudo-feminist and became the director's weakest work in recent years.

What Is 'All's Fair' About?

The plot revolves around Allura Grant (Kim Kardashian), a successful California lawyer who founded an all-female law firm with her colleagues: Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts), private investigator Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash-Betts), and attorney Dina Standish (Glenn Close).

The firm specializes in defending clients who have been abused by men. However, Allura soon finds herself in the middle of a high-profile divorce case involving her football player husband and her archrival, attorney Carrington Lane (Sarah Paulson).

'All's Fair' Isn't a Legal Drama, as It Positions Itself – It's Difficult to Even Call It a TV Series

The main reason All's Fair failed is that it completely fails to live up to its stated genre. The characters never appear in a courtroom – all "cases" are resolved through blackmail and intimidation in private jets, mansion bedrooms, and beige offices.

This supposedly feminist project devolves into a series of misogynistic clichés that portray the main characters as soulless monsters whose only goal is to humiliate every man they encounter.

Kim Kardashian, who has no acting experience, looks ridiculous trying to portray a range of emotions. Even sadder is the fate of her famous co-stars: Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, and Sarah Paulson are forced to play meaningless, cartoonish roles, creating an awkward viewing experience.

All's Fair doesn't even reach the level of a TV series. It's comparable to spending hours scrolling through social media, where ads, fake news, and staged reality merge into one meaningless stream.

What Did Critics & Viewers Think of 'All's Fair'?

  • All's Fair has 6% from critics and 65% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.

  • On IMDb, the series has a score of 3.3/10.

Where to Watch 'All's Fair'?
