Don't even waste your time on it.

Ryan Murphy, the creator of the cult classics Glee and American Horror Story, earned a dismal 4% score on Rotten Tomatoes with his new series, All's Fair, arguably the biggest creative flop of his career.

Conceived as a feminist legal drama, the project instead turned into a tasteless vanity show built entirely around Kim Kardashian's public persona.

What Is 'All's Fair' About?

Two successful lawyers, Allura Grant (Kim Kardashian) and Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts), decide to start their own all-female law firm.

They aim to defend clients who have suffered at the hands of abusive husbands and partners. However, Allura soon finds herself at the center of a high-profile divorce when her football player husband, Chase, leaves her.

A serious battle over their marital property ensues, involving his obsessive lawyer who has a personal vendetta against Allura and her firm.

'All's Fair' Was Made for Kim Kardashian, Who Lacks the Acting Chops to Make Her Character Convincing

From the very beginning, All's Fair seems like an expensive yet empty toy created to gratify Kim Kardashian's ego. Ironically, even her enormous media presence can't save the situation.

Compared to Kim, the actresses with impeccable reputations surrounding her – like Naomi Watts and Glenn Close – are reminiscent of teachers at an elite kindergarten, forced to cater to the whims of their most spoiled pupil.

'All's Fair' May Have a Shiny Exterior, but It's Empty Inside

From the very first frames, the series shocks with the dissonance between form and content. The viewer sees lavish interiors, expensive costumes, and elaborate hairstyles – the production values are through the roof.

However, behind this glossy facade is a semantic void comparable to that of a cheap soap opera.

The dialogue reads like an amateur theatrical production, and the pretentious mise-en-scène is reminiscent of a perfume commercial more than scenes from a serious drama.

If You're Looking to Watch 'All's Fair' for Intriguing Legal Cases, This Isn't the Place for You

Rather than engaging in legal battles and subtle psychology, Murphy presents viewers with only a collection of glamorous clichés. All of the cases are the same: wives want freedom and husbands don't want to part with millions.

The creators have discredited the entire procedural drama genre by focusing not on mutual support and professionalism but on empty slogans about the "strength of a woman's spirit" and buying diamonds at auction.

All's Fair doesn't address real issues – it merely creates the illusion of progressiveness, concealing emptiness and creative bankruptcy.

What Did Critics & Viewers Think of 'All's Fair'?

  • All's Fair has 4% from critics and 67% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.

  • On IMDb, the series has a score of 2.9/10.
