Two star-crossed lovers, heartbreak, haunting songs.

Mohit Suri’s upcoming romantic drama Saiyaara hits theatres on July 18, 2025, kicking off a new chapter for Yash Raj Films. The story follows aspiring singer Krish Kapoor (played by debutant Ahaan Panday) and soulful songwriter Aarzoo (Aneet Padda) whose fiery, fragile love affair spirals into heartbreak, betrayal, and yes — even a knife-wielding twist.

Ahaan, nephew of Chunky Panday and cousin to Ananya, steps into Bollywood with serious pedigree, having trained under Aditya Chopra for years. Aneet, fresh off Big Girls Don’t Cry, adds emotional gravity as the girl who gives Krish both his muse and his deepest wounds.

Originally imagined as Aashiqui 3, the project evolved when Suri felt rushed by the studio’s timeline. Instead, he reworked it into Saiyaara, preserving that raw, aching intensity fans loved in Aashiqui 2. The soundtrack, featuring Mithoon and Sachet-Parampara, promises haunting melodies that’ll stay long after the credits roll.
