Tis the season to be spooky, but for some shows, Halloween specials are "a really quick no."

It's a pretty classic move for TV shows, especially sitcoms, to do a special episode for big holidays such as Christmas or Halloween. So if you are not a Twilight or Hocus Pocus person, you always have plenty of specials from The Office or The Big Bang Theory.

There is one particular show, however, which had a couple of Christmas episodes, but never a Halloween one, and this show is Schitt's Creek. It's a bit weird when you think about it, given that the show's premise has plenty of room for a wonderful spooky special.

First of all, the Rose family can be quite spooky without even linking it to any particular occasion. Let's be honest, Moira Rose often looks like she's heading to a Halloween party, even though it's April. David, with his signature black-and-white style and dark humor, doesn't even need to prepare for a spooky party.

Johnny Rose and Alexis are a lot less dramatic and Halloween-y for the rest of the year, but they would happily vibe along, and we're pretty sure that Schitt's Creek creator and writer, Dan Levy, would come up with a perfect script for the most hilarious Halloween episode ever.

Still, for some reason, Schitt's Creek went without a single Halloween-themed episode. It's almost like the little town run by Roland Schitt just never had a month called October; even though, like we said, there were winters and Christmases at Schitt's Creek.

Which Schitt's Creek Episodes Are Best For Halloween?

Forgive us for wanting to say "literally every single one of them," because look, not all Halloween parties have to be about horror. However, if you're looking for at least some spooky vibes in Schitt's Creek, here are a couple of episodes you may particularly enjoy.

S3E6 — Murder Mystery

Murser Mystery is an episode of the third season where Moira desperately tries not to attend Twyla's Murder Mystery party because, well, she's Moira and she doesn't want to go. As Jocelyn put it, these parties were not usually very entertaining — once, Twyla was just winking at everybody until she realized she forgot to pick a murderer. Now that's spooky... at least for Moira Rose.

S5E1 — The Crowening

Moira's entire The Crows Have Eyes endeavor is pretty spooky on its own — she portrays a doctor who apparently does some experiments on crows, and they don't necessarily go well. It's pure Hitchcock, but with a Schitt's Creek's spin on it. Very scary, we promise.

S4E5 — RIP Moira Rose

Well, it does sound pretty Halloween-y already, right? However, the episode is not as spooky as it sounds. The episode starts with an Internet rumor claiming that Moira died, even though she is very much alive. The real horror of the episode? Nobody seems to care. And Moira Rose is a huge movie star!

S2E11 — The Motel Guest

This episode has Alexis looking for her own apartment, but quickly changing her mind after finding out that the previous resident hanged himself here. Spooky vibe? Yes, please! This one is Halloween-worthy just for the final scene where David and Alexis go to sleep, and David scares Alexis with creepy stories about how he "sees dark things" in the motel. The "Dad's dead" line? Legendary.
