Entirely as expected, Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con instantly turned out to be the biggest and wildest: so many new projects announced, so many intriguing details about Phase 5 and beyond teased, fans were left beyond excited.

Although multiple industry insiders insisted that Marvel planned on waiting on some big announcements until September's D23 Expo, it apparently wasn't the case. At the SDCC panel Kevin Feige mapped out the MCU future all through the next 3 years, rolling out the titles and some details about a handful of new projects.

Next year we are entering the new era of Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Phase 4 concluding with Black Panther sequel and Phase 5 kicking off. The first Phase 5 movie is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, premiering on February 17, 2023, and Thunderbolts wrap the Phase 5 up with July 26, 2024 premiere.

However, that's not all, seeing as how after Phase 5 inevitably follows Phase 6, a part of The Multiverse Saga (along with Phase 4 and Phase 5). Phase 6 already got 11 (!) projects planned, including two Avengers ensemble movies (Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars ), and kicks off in the fall of 2024 with the previously announced Fantastic Four film.

List of every movie and TV series in the MCU's Phase 5:

  • Secret Invasion – Spring 2023 (Disney+ )
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – May 5, 2023
  • Echo – Summer 2023 (Disney+)
  • Loki: Season 2 – Summer 2023 (Disney+)
  • The Marvels – July 28, 2023
  • Blade – November 3, 2023
  • Ironheart – Fall 2023 (Disney+)
  • Agatha: Coven of Chaos – Winter 2023/24 (Disney+)
  • Daredevil: Born Again with Charlie Cox returning – Fall 2023 (Disney+)
  • Captain America: New World Order – May 3, 2024

Some of the Phase 5 projects are already in development, and some – like Blade, which will start filming this October – are in pre-production so far. However, lots of details about Phase 5 projects were unveiled at Marvel's SDCC panel, including:

  • Daredevil: Born Again will include 18 episodes; Charlie Cox will, of course, return.
  • Angela Bassett's Ramonda becomes Queen of Wakanda in Wakanda forever; it's basically going to be a female characters-driven movie.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is truly the end of the story for the Guardians; however, as James Gunn himself told the Hall H audience, "it doesn't mean everybody dies". Adam Warlock is making an appearance in the movie, and High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji) is going to be the main villain.
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will feature Kang (played by Jonathan Majors ); apparently Scott Lang's daughter, Cassie, story arc sets up her becoming a superhero, as rumored before.

After Captain America film premiering in the spring of 2024, all eyes will be on Phase 6 rolling out its biggest titles – and there are, quite literally, lots of them, including two ensemble Avengers blockbusters. Kevin Feige said that the Russo brothers, who helmed two biggest Avengers films in Phase 3, won't be a part of Phase 6 projects, so no Secret Wars for them – but "we want to find something to do together."
