With the release of 'Secret Invasion' approaching, fans are trying to determine which of the MCU characters might actually be an undercover Skrulls.

The shapeshifting aliens determined to take over Earth first appeared in the MCU in 2019's 'Captain Marvel', and with the Disney+ series 'Secret Invasion' officially in development, the Skrulls are sure to play a major role in the ongoing Phase 4. In the original comics, these green-skinned villains infiltrated superhero teams and secret organizations by stealing the looks and memories of various characters, allowing Skrulls to influence important events firsthand. So which MCU characters are already Skrulls?

According to a recent thread over on Reddit, fans already suspect 5 prominent Marvel good guys of foul play. The characters in question are Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Drax (Dave Bautista) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). Not that bad of a roster, huh?

The most popular candidates are Carter and Ross, given that these characters are rather insignificant compared to the others mentioned, and their high position in government structures would be quite logical for the Skrulls to use as a means to infiltrate Earth.

Hank Pym's beloved Wasp being a Skrull is also a huge possibility, and her character's history in the comics may confirm this theory for some fans. Drax is more of a joke: many fans claim that he can't be a Skrull, since he wasn't around during the Blip years when the Skrulls invaded Earth.

Valkyrie is the most unsuitable candidate for the role of the hidden Skrull, as fans note that the alien invaders are unlikely to possess the powers of the Asgardian goddess.

All in all, it looks like Feige and co. will have a great time surprising fans with the looming reveal of Skrull-infected characters during the events of 'Secret Invasion'.
