The Harry Potter HBO series is officially in production, with filming kicking off on 14 July 2025 at Leavesden Studios. The ambitious adaptation promises seven seasons, each covering one book, eyeing a 2027 debut.
Dominic McLaughlin stars as Harry, while Arabella Stanton, a West End talent fresh from Matilda, steps into Hermione’s shoes. Veteran actor Anton Lesser, known for The Crown and Andor, brings Ollivander to life. New cast members include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, and Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch.
Fans were treated to a first-look photo, confirming cameras are rolling and magic is underway. Francesca Gardiner leads as showrunner, with Mark Mylod directing and J.K. Rowling executive producing. The project has sparked both excitement and nostalgia, as audiences await a fresh take on Hogwarts.
