Redditor babybeluga01 points out two phrases from James's conversation with Helly in the MDR office that appear in the scripts but were not included in the show:

“I am – feeble. When I go to the table impalpable – the weight of his earthly purpose shall pass to my progeny.”

The Reddit user has proposed a theory that these phrases confirm the difficult choice Helly will have to make in Season 3.

By the end of the second season, it was clear that Jame was disappointed in Helena when he visited the MDR office to see Helly. Perhaps the head of the company wants Helly, not Helena, to be his heir. In episode 10 of Season 2, he said that there is no Kier in Helena, but there is Kier in Helly.

If Jame considers Helly a worthy heir, he could offer her a deal: power in exchange for loyalty. For example, he could guarantee the safety of the other innies, especially Mark, whom Helly is clearly not ready to betray.
