During a recent panel with the cast of Shrinking, Jason Segel revealed that Cobie Smulders will return for the show's third season. The actor said that despite having worked side by side with Smulders for 10 years while filming HIMYM, they never got their own storyline because of him being married and her being Ted’s love interest.
"I always really wanted to work with her. But I've been reflecting on the scene, because I watched the scene, and I'm like, 'Oh, we caught something.'" he said.
Needles to say, fans are all in for the new romance to spark.
“As a HIMYM fan, I'd really love to see how Jimmy and Sofi's relationship plays out. Out of almost every woman he’s encountered in the show, I'd personally say that theirs was the most interesting. honestly hoping that she slowly becomes a recurring character,” Redditor secretpencil_ said.
I never thought Shrinking would become one of my favorite shows, but here we are and now I'm eagerly awaiting any news about season 3 of the AppleTV+ show. The reason is simple: without making big promises, the series quietly explored the most important themes in a much more non-trivial way, making it obvious that the creators know life can be crazy and unpredictable.
