I’ve always loved the V/H/S franchise, and the new trailer for V/H/S/Halloween proves why. Since 2012, it’s been delivering creepy, inventive found-footage stories, each one feeling like a real tape you shouldn’t be watching.
This time, six new segments celebrate Halloween, directed by names like Paco Plaza and Alex Ross Perry. I’m already planning to watch it on Shudder on October 3 — nothing sets the October mood like this.
The franchise has grown into a cult favourite, experimenting with shorts, spinoffs, and yearly releases. I love that it still feels fresh and unpredictable.
Shudder makes it feel intimate, like we’re all sharing a secret thrill. Watching a new entry each October has become a little ritual for me.
