Fans are tired of seeing their favorite shows canceled and refuse to give up on them.

Viewers of the TV shows know that even if the series you are watching is holding the bar and collecting decent ratings, it is not safe and can be canceled at any time without explanation. This is what happened to So Help Me Todd, a show which has its second season coming to an end and marking its finale.

The show follows former private investigator Todd, who is hired by his own mother, Margaret, a successful attorney, as her firm's in-house investigator. Their working methods are radically different: Margaret is a perfectionist, strictly following the law, while Todd is chaotic, inclined to interpret the law flexibly in his favor, but at the same time he is a masterful information seeker, charming and savvy.

So Help Me Todd Was Canceled Before Season 3 Due to Low Ratings

Although So Help Me Todd has found its audience, it was not enough to keep the show on the air. Like CSI: Vegas, the series was canceled due to low ratings before Season 3. CBS boss Amy Reisenbach commented on the show's cancellation:

“We had some tough choices this year. Everything came back very strong. There is a cohesive schedule, a flow.”

But the fans who fell in love with So Help Me Todd for its lighthearted humor and well-developed characters are not giving up. Viewers have created a petition asking for the show to be renewed for a third season, including a proposal to move the show to another network – The CW or ABC.

The shows that fans have managed to save are still the exception rather than the rule, but these rare cases give hope for a positive outcome.

After Being Canceled Before Season 4, Lucifer Was Saved by Fans

For example, the second and third seasons of Lucifer, about the devil who consults with the police, scored the coveted 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, but Fox canceled the show, causing massive discontent among viewers.

Die-hard fans rallied, creating the hashtag #SaveLucifer and signing online petitions, which led to Netflix buying the show and adding three more seasons.

Who knows, maybe in this case the efforts of the fans will be noticed by one of the platforms and So Help Me Todd will find a new home on one of them. If you support the fans' fight for the show, you can also sign the petition, especially since it already has almost 24,000 votes out of a goal of 25,000.
