Weirdly enough, the actress seemingly doesn’t do karaoke either.

So Help Me Todd ’s abrupt cancellation after only two seasons has surely left its fans heartbroken and even outraged, but it kinda brought some relief to one of its actresses, and in a weird way.

Heather Morris, mostly known as Brittany Pierce in a 2009 comedy drama show Glee, showed up in So Help Me Todd’s season 2 as Judy Maxon, the lead character’s love interest, and though her role actually never implied such an option, the actress’ biggest fear about her brand new job at the time had something to do with her acting past.

Ironically, The Bear ’s Liza Colón-Zayas can relate, as it turns out.

Talking about her role in the unfairly scrapped series and the way she thought it was all going to be, Morris revealed that she’d had a little panic attack when she’d found out who she was going to work with.

According to the actress, as soon as she learned that Skylar Astin had landed the leading role, it immediately dawned on her that he was also the one to star in a 2012 musical comedy Pitch Perfect, something similar to her own experience on a musical show.

Morris then explained saying that she was “spiraling thinking that they were gonna throw a song at us out of nowhere and make us sing together. For some reason, I got in my head that they were gonna make us sing either live on television or it was gonna be a storyline of us singing”.

Luckily for her, So Help Me Todd’s creators never even had an idea of bringing two musical stars together for a live musical performance on TV as there seemed to already be enough drama by the time the second season arrived.

Heather Morris’ revelations came along at almost the same time as Liza Colón-Zayas’ reflections on her character’s big moment in The Bear’s season 2, though the difference here is that the latter claimed she just really doubted her singing skills, something that Morris would be wrong to say about herself.

Still, unlike So Help Me Todd’s star, Colón-Zayas had to face quite a big challenge when her character Tina came up to a bar stage to sing in front of the public. Fair to say, despite all the fears, she did nail the scene.
