Softer Than a Cloud! The Secret to the Fluffiest American Dinner Rolls You’ve Ever Baked
Only eight ingredients, and the American beloved classics is at your table.
You might be used to getting dinner rolls from a store or local bakery, but there’s a high chance you’ve had a thought of making them at home at least once. Just like any meal that needs to be baked, dinner rolls often considered way too complicated to be prepared like this, though it’s actually not true.
Apart from the fact that they require the simplest ingredients, the rolls won’t take much of your time anyway, but the result will be surprising for sure.
Here’s what you need: 500 g of wheat flour, 1.5 tsp of dry yeast, 125 ml of milk, 125 ml of water, 1 egg, 30 g of butter, 2 tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of salt, a little bit of butter.
Sift the flour and mix it with the salt and sugar. Pour it into a baking pan, add the softened butter and egg. If you’re making this without a bread maker, add 20 g of fresh yeast. Knead the dough by hand for 10–15 minutes. Let it rise until doubled in size.
After the dough has risen, divide it into 15 balls, each weighing about 60 g. Grease the pan with butter and let the dough rise again until doubled in size.
Brush the risen buns with melted butter and bake for 35–40 minutes at 190°C.
