Paramount's biggest property, 'Star Trek', is certainly having its moment. Even though future of the movie franchise is uncertain, the space opera has taken its rightful place on television, with 'Discovery' and 'Picard' having received praise from fans and critics alike.

Nerveless, Patrick Stewart's 'Picard' is leaving Star Trek Universe after the upcoming third season that will be the last one for the fan-favorite show. Looks like Paramount decided to send him out with a bang. It was announced that Stewart's eponymous hero will be joined by his original 'The Next Generation' crewmates, including cast members LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden and Marina Sirtis. The news will certainly make long-time 'Star Trek' fans happy – seeing their favorite actors return after more than 20 years away from the Discovery would be a real treat for the older audiences.

If everything will work out as Paramount expects it to, who knows, maybe one of the original actors will eventually get his own spin-off series! 'Picard' season 2 is currently airing on Paramount +, with season 3 premiere date not being announced just yet.
