The Pitt has already made it clear that the show will not sugarcoat the difficulties that real-life doctors face every day.

There are many medical dramas, but they all serve different purposes: some look more like fantasy with the almighty doctors who never get to work too much (which leaves them time for personal twists and turns), and some shows actually depict reality without losing the drama.

The Pitt is one of those shows that doesn't sugarcoat every dark moment of a doctor's life. The new show premiered in early January and made it clear that the level of quality is now extra high. And it seems that it’s not a secret for anyone, as Stephen King himself pointed it out in his socials.

In his Threads account, he shared his honest opinion about the show:

“THE PITT (Hulu ): Forget those other doctor shows. This one is the best. Realistic and heart-wrenching. Come for life-or-death medical situations, stay for the human drama, which is real rather than corny.”

What Is The Pitt About and Is It Worth Watching?

The Pitt is a medical drama that perfectly blends real-time events with profound character development. Each of its 15 episodes represents one hour of a single 15-hour emergency room shift at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. What sets it apart is the high-stakes environment. You are simply afraid to breathe while the show is on.

“The real time aspect makes this show hit so differently. Patients are not just here one episode and then gone. Like the parents of the brain dead kid who we saw episode after episode coming to terms with what happened. I see multiple Emmys in this show's future,” Redditor kah43 said.

The beloved Noah Wyle, who we know from another amazing medical drama ER, delivers a brilliant performance as Dr. Michael "Robby" Rabinavitch. His portrayal adds depth to the overall story, highlighting the emotional and professional complexities that medical professionals face every day.

The Pitt has a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If you haven't checked it out yet, you can stream the show on Max.
