Just follow these simple rules, and procrastination won’t impede you to make your dreams come true.

Who isn’t dreaming of being 100% productive and confident and turn their biggest ambitions into reality? However easy it might seem to some, constantly following your dream can be interrupted by chronic procrastination or major doubts about one’s ability to achieve all their goals.

Still, things can go much easier if you set a specific routine and rely on it when hardships of the reality start hitting you.

Set Yourself a Strict Daily Routine

Despite seeming the most difficult part, this rule is actually the easiest way to start living by right rules and plan your time accordingly. A specific daily routine makes you a more disciplined person, which, in its turn, strengthens your willpower.

When you get used to waking up at the same time every day, you’ll start wondering why you wanted to spend ten more minutes in bed instead of spending them on something really useful.

Analyze Your Routine

Conduct a little experiment and try to look closely at your own daily routine for several days or a week, highlighting which parts of the day are easy to complete and what averts your attention from those tasks you constantly put away. By answering all those questions, you’ll find out what habits don’t let you be more productive during the day.

Give Up Bad Habits and Start Making Good Ones

Even though they might give some kind of relief for a while, bad habits actually have a huge impact on both our health and emotional state. Start little by little and adapt healthier habits, making sure you follow them regularly. For instance, if you’ve always felt like you needed that gym membership, go for it and start with shorter, but frequent training.

With time, you’ll notice that your body has become stronger and capable of doing more exercises for a longer time.

Don’t Put Off Your Tasks

If nothing serious impedes you to complete a task, there’s no reason to leave it for another day. Remember that, the quicker you’ll be done with things like this, the more free time you’ll have by the end of the day.

Once you stop putting off your tasks, you’ll see how relieved you are every time you made a decision to do it right now instead of leaving it for later.

Keep Your Promises to Yourself

If you feel like you’re being obliged to do something you don’t want to do, change the “I have to” phrase for “I promise myself”. According to experts, such an affirmation has a better effect on our mind that sees it as an act of personal responsibility rather than a forced action. This will also help you control yourself and keep your word.

Use the “One More” Method

This method may come in handy for those who feel like they aren’t persistent enough. All you need to do is to add one more step to your task as soon as you complete it. For instance, if you’re done with a difficult exercise at the gym, do it once more, reassuring yourself that you’re capable of doing so despite fatigue.

This will help you feel like you’re stranger than you have always thought, thus boosting your confidence.
