This recipe is a guarantee you’ll cook the salmon better than in the finest haute-cuisine restaurants.

Even though we all more prone to choosing comfort food recipes over something delicate and exquisite, it’s likely everyone starts craving for something unusual after several days of eating the simplest dishes only.

If you’ve been dreaming about having dinner with baked salmon, here’s your sign to do so — this easy recipe will offer you the most delicious salmon served in lemon and garlic sauce. Try it once, and you’ll be conquered forever.

Here’s what you need: 2 salmon fillets (150 g each), 1 tbsp of olive or vegetable oil, ½ lemon (juice + a couple of thin slices for garnish), 1 clove of garlic (dried garlic is also fine), salt to taste (about ½ tsp total), black pepper to taste, 1 tsp of dried herbs (thyme, oregano, Italian seasoning).

Preheat the oven to 190 °C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease the pan with oil.

In a small bowl, mix the oil, juice of half a lemon, finely grated garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.

Place the salmon pieces on the baking sheet, skin-side down (if they have skin).

Brush each piece with the marinade on all visible sides. You can place a thin slice of lemon on top of each piece.

Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on how thick the salmon is.
