Stop Rushing Your Mornings: The Ultimate Overnight Oats Recipe
Making the most delicious breakfast now won’t take you more than 10 minutes.
Who hasn’t battled the desire to sleep for half an hour more in the morning instead of preparing breakfast? While some are ready to sacrifice their mealtime, others start their day with mood swings standing half asleep in the kitchen.
The solution for both is quite simple: this overnight oats recipe will save you some time in the morning and won’t take much time in the evening before.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, 2 teaspoons of Greek yogurt, 1 banana, 6-10 g of walnuts, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, a few drops of vanilla flavoring (optional), 50 g of dark chocolate, 1 tbsp of milk.
Cut the banana in half. Mash one half with a fork, cut the other half into slices. Chop the walnuts with a knife.
Pour the oats and chia seeds into a glass. Pour in the milk, add the cinnamon, vanilla extract, mashed banana, and chopped walnuts. Stir until smooth.
Arrange the banana slices around the edge of the glass and place the Greek yogurt in the center.
Melt the chocolate. Place the pieces in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of milk. Heat in the microwave for one minute on high power. If there are still hard pieces, heat for another minute.
Pour the melted chocolate over the oats and refrigerate overnight. You can store overnight oats in the fridge for up to two days.
