Are you worried about your favorite character? Check out his chances of survival here.

The premiere of the fifth and final chapter of Stranger Things is approaching. The first four episodes will debut on November 26, the next three on December 25, and the final episode on December 31.

While fans wait for the triumphant conclusion of one of the biggest TV hits in recent years, we decided to revisit the main characters and predict which ones will have happy endings and which ones won't survive the finale.

Who Will Survive?

1. Jim Hopper

Jim Hopper is the least likely victim of the Upside Down since his character already died in the Season 3 finale. Since repeating the self-sacrifice scene would be pointless, you can rest assured about the fate of David Harbour's character.

2. Will Byers

Some fans think that Will will switch sides and join Vecna in Season 5. Of all the characters in the series, Will has the strongest connection to the Upside Down. In the second season, he fell under the influence of otherworldly forces. What if these forces take over the Byers' family again?

Vecna's psychological manipulations previously turned Eleven against Brenner. Will could become the villain's next victim – he is still the most vulnerable of the four.

However, fans of Stranger Things are unlikely to be pleased by the "evil" Will plot twist because he has already sacrificed so much. If anyone is to be sent into the clutches of the villain, it definitely won't be Will.

3. Nancy Wheeler

Nancy Wheeler has long been proven to be a brave girl capable of protecting herself and her loved ones. In the fourth season, she conducted her own investigation into a series of murders. Vecna captured Nancy but, rather than killing her, showed her the future of Hawkins.

Some fans assume that the antagonist will finish what he started, while others are convinced that he will torment Nancy through her loved ones.

However, there is hardly any need to worry about her well-being. Natalia Dyer's character can stand up for herself and destroy a dozen monsters.

4. Mike Wheeler

Many fans agree that Mike seems like one of the least likely victims of the Upside Down in the finale. Additionally, the Duffer Brothers themselves have said that they don't want to kill Mike off:

“Just as a complete hypothetical, if you kill Mike [Finn Wolfhard], it's like... that's depressing... We aren't Game of Thrones. This is Hawkins, it's not Westeros.”

Who Will Die?

1. Eleven

Eleven may face a tragic fate: Jane discovered the Upside Down, and she will likely be the one to end the story. Many believe she will sacrifice herself to save her friends and the town's inhabitants, as she did in the first season finale.

The death of the main character would make the ending of the show especially dark. It's hard to imagine Eleven never growing up, leaving only a memory of herself.

Fans may not be ready to accept such a plot twist, but we should all be prepared for any outcome.

2. Max Mayfield

In the fourth season, Max found herself on the brink of death. Still, she found a way to salvation, even if it looked like a coma with the possible loss of vision.

In the Stranger Things finale, Max can only continue her fight with the monsters of the Upside Down in the astral dimension. It's possible that the writers need a character who can interact mentally with the dark side of Hawkins.

The Duffers themselves described Max's condition, saying she is alive but "brain dead, blind, and all of her bones are broken." It is possible that Max will never emerge from her coma in the real world, having sacrificed herself to save Hawkins.

3. Jonathan Byers

Just as there is no hope for a happily ever after for Jonathan and Nancy, the guy himself will most likely not see a happy ending in the series finale.

Jonathan may also be on the death list – primarily because throughout the fourth season his character was essentially put on pause, didn't evolve in any way and needs a significant plot kick.

4. Steve Harrington

Unfortunately, Steve Harrington is the most likely candidate for elimination. Throughout Stranger Things, Joe Keery's character has evolved into a classic hero who will save his beloved from a monster and sacrifice himself for the greater good if necessary.

The path chosen by the writers largely predetermines Steve's heroic sacrifice, and the character's widespread popularity guarantees millions of broken hearts of fans.

5. Robin Buckley

Maya Hawke, who plays Robin, said herself that she would like her character to die in the finale. Perhaps the Duffer Brothers will hear the actress's wishes and sacrifice the charismatic and charming girl for dramatic effect.

6. Dustin Henderson

In Season 4, Dustin befriended Eddie, and his death was too traumatic for Dustin.

Dustin may become Vecna's next victim, as the villain preys on those consumed by guilt. Perhaps Dustin will replay Eddie's death in his mind and try to answer the question of whether he could have saved his friend.
