Steven Yeun is a perfect choice to portray this Spider-Man villain.

Steven Yeun, best known for his roles in The Walking Dead and the recent Netflix series Beef, will soon join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor has been cast in the upcoming Thunderbolts movies. While his participation is officially confirmed, his role is kept under wraps.

However, rumors suggest that the actor might portray the movie’s antagonist Robert Reynolds, also known as The Sentry. If the rumors are true, Yeun's portrayal of The Sentry will be a great addition to the MCU. However, fans have another role in mind for him, and it's causing quite a stir.

A recent discussion on Reddit brought up the idea of Steven Yeun playing Martin Li, also known as Mr. Negative. While some fans pointed out the ethnic differences between the character and the actor (Martin Li is Chinese, while Steven Yeun is Korean), others argued that Yeun would be a perfect fit.

Mr. Negative is a relatively recent addition to Spider-Man's rogues' gallery, having first appeared in 2007. The character is the alter ego of Martin Li, an immigrant from China who becomes the head of the F.E.A.S.T. You might remember the organization from the Spider-Man movies in the MCU — the one Aunt May was a member of.

Mr. Negative appeared in the Spider-Man video game, developed by Insomniac Games, as one of the main antagonists. In the game, Martin Li is the founder of the F.E.A.S.T. shelters where Aunt May works. He would be a great choice for a villain for Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland.

An artist and a Marvel fan akithefull even envisioned Steven Yeun as Mr. Negative, and it's nothing short of incredible. The artist's depiction of Yeun in this role has garnered positive reactions, with fans commenting on how perfect he would be for the part.

The character's duality, being both a philanthropist and a crime lord, offers a rich canvas for an actor of Yeun's caliber. However, given that Yeun is already cast in Thunderbolts, it’s unlikely we ever see him as Mr. Negative.
