DC has released a 3-minute official trailer for Superman with David Corenswet, and it looks and feels so good that even non-fans are ready to give it a shot.

In the trailer, Superman is being interviewed (and he is not holding back in his responses) about interfering in a foreign war. Also, we get a glimpse of what seems to be a battle in Metropolis, where Corenswet's superhero gets help from ordinary people (because you don't need superpowers to be an actual hero, huh?).

We also get a sneak peek at Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor and Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, as well as Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern and Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific.

What Do Fans Think About James Gunn's New Superman?

The trailer looks bright and hopeful – so much that even non-fans are impressed.

"As a non-DC fan and someone who doesn't really care much for Superman, these trailers have both made me cry and smile and laugh at how good and hopeful this movie looks," one user in the YouTube comments said.

Others appreciated the movie's use of the original soundtrack – in fact, the trailer is full of such heartwarming nods. Mama Kent's line about having cleaned Clark's boots hit everyone hard.

David Corenswet also seems to be doing an excellent job, as many fans love that "Superman has a personality" and is much more than just "an overpowered being." Fans also loved how the actor changed his voice from Clark to Superman.

"It's nice to see a younger and less experienced Superman. I understand that he's supposed to be a symbol of positivity, but even someone like him would be upset if so many people hate him when all he wants to do is help," another user noted in the comments for the trailer.

When Does the New Superman Movie Premiere?

Superman will land in theatres on July 11, 2025.
