Sweet Meets Savory: The 10-Minute Fried Cheese and Grape Salad That’s Pure Magic
Forget about haute-cuisine restaurants, the most exquisite dishes like this one can be easily prepared in your own kitchen.
Many famous restaurants across the world have been long inventing new tastes thanks to combining sweet and savory products, thus tempting their potential visitors to stop by and try something exotic. Though those dishes might seem pretty difficult to cook for an ordinary person, it’s actually not true in many cases, including this recipe for a delicious fried cheese and grape salad.
Made of the simplest ingredients, this dish will provide you with a refreshing taste that you might want to repeat over and over again.
Here’s what you need: 100 g of green seedless grapes, 150 g of cheese, 100 g of mixed greens, 35 g of olive oil, 50 g of walnuts, salt and black pepper to taste.
Cut the cheese into pieces, lightly brush them with olive oil, and pan-fry until golden brown.
Next, cut some of the grapes in half, and blend a small portion with olive oil (this will make a simple, but flavorful dressing). Gently crush the nuts and toast them in a dry skillet to bring out their aroma.
Place the salad mix in a bowl, add the dressing, and gently toss. Then add the grapes, toasted nuts, and warm cheese, toss gently once more, and place the salad on a plate. Serve immediately, while the cheese is still warm.
