The reason is pretty obvious, to be honest.

We live in the times of overwhelmingly intense competition among the major players in the streaming industry. The giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO max have long been in the game, releasing original content at an extremely rapid pace.

However, one of the notable differences between them and Apple TV Plus is that the latter doesn't cancel its series as often. And Apple has its reasons.

In recent years, canceling series after just one or two seasons has become common practice, especially when it comes to Netflix and HBO max.

While cancelation decisions are often made based on ratings, budget, and other factors, Apple TV Plus is taking a different path.

One of the reasons for Apple's less than frequent cancelations is their approach to content production. Unlike Netflix and HBO max, which invest huge sums of money to produce content, Apple TV+ is more selective in the series it releases.

Apple has been prioritizing quality over quantity since its inception, and the result is paying off.

Another factor that contributes to Apple's success in the streaming industry is their very specific approach to marketing.

They use their marketing channels, such as the App Store, social media platforms, and virtual billboards, to promote their content.

Moreover, Apple seemingly has a tendency to avoid backlash over cancelled shows by either renewing them, or just classifying them as miniseries.

This tactic allowed Apple TV Plus to receive less negativity towards it than their counterparts like Netflix or HBO max do.

By focusing on quality content, committing to producing entire seasons in one go, and investing in successful marketing campaigns, Apple TV+ has managed to thrive in the highly competitive streaming market.

As an example, during the year 2022 Apple TV Plus didn't cancel any of its shows and renewed a whole 10 of them.

It goes without saying though, that Apple is an extremely wealthy company and the budget aimed at Apple TV Plus doesn't form that huge of a bulk of the company's overall funds, to begin with.

It's safe to say that Apple TV Plus is trying to bring something new to the table, and it'll be fun to watch how their approach might impact the streaming market in the years to come.
