Based on Stephenie Meyer’s book series of the same name, the hit movies starred Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner helping them rise to stardom years ago, though the story isn’t over for at least one of them now.

Ever since the last movie hit the screens back in 2012, many have been vocal about Twilight’s need to give a proper storyline to Lautner’s Jacob, often left in Bella and Edward’s shadows throughout the entire film series. According to Variety, the actor has officially signed up for Twilight’s sequel show that to some might seem like a fever dream brought to reality. Lautner also made it all official in his Instagram account, posting screenshots from Variety’s article captioned “Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in”.

The future series, now titled Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter, promises to cross the lines between Lautner’s character and the actor himself, delving into the latter’s life after Twilight’s immense success back in the 2010s and the supernatural impact the franchise had on his day-to-day life.

Launched back in 2008, Twilight has long been considered a major pop culture piece that, even with all the drama-packed plot twists, gave life to a myriad of memes and inner jokes that are still alive even if the franchise itself isn’t.
