Taylor Sheridan’s Hit Spy Show Just Got a Huge Long-Awaited Update
The series starring this year’s Oscar nominee Zoe Saldaña finally has its long-promised return set.
Despite the departure of Taylor Sheridan ’s signature show Yellowstone from the screens last year, its absence is fully compensated by the writer-director’s other successful shows, with many of them set to return or already being back on streaming with a new season.
While Yellowstone’s prequel series 1923 has only just started its second season’s run on February 23, Sheridan is seemingly back to work on two other fan-favourite shows, and one of those might have just received an exciting update after a long wait.
Lioness Season 3 Might Already Be in Production
As of now, nothing in particular has been heard officially about Sheridan’s Landman or Lioness; however, things seem to be pushed forward even without an official confirmation from Paramount+, the streamer Sheridan has been frequently collaborating with in recent years.
A couple of weeks ago, it was confirmed that Landman’s season 2 would start production on February 28, and now this might also be the case for Lioness’ season 3, if the show’s new episodes aren’t finished already.
On X, the account of Paramount’s South African streaming home Showmax has been long flooded by comments from Lioness’ fans, trying to get at least a hint of when the show would come back to the screens again. Luckily, Showmax had an answer, replying to one of the fans “Soon, soon showmie, we’ll let you know”.
Taylor Sheridan Is Paramount+’s Blessing Right Now
A couple of years ago, it would be hard to imagine the streamer competing with platforms like Netflix or Prime Video, but Paramount+ is now on a much higher level, and that’s a contribution from Taylor Sheridan too.

Apart from Yellowstone that concluded with its 5th season back in 2024, the writer-director had a bunch of his new shows released on Paramount+, making a major deal with the streamer that benefits from millions of views received by Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, Tulsa King, Lioness and Landman.
A prequel to Yellowstone, 1923 starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford is currently having its second and final season’s run on the platform.
