'Terror' Season 3 & 4 Other Most Anticipated TV Series to Be Released in May 2026

Although May doesn't have many new series debuts, viewers will enjoy a variety of returns of beloved projects.

Some are new chapters to familiar stories, while others are spinoffs. Here are the TV series we'll be watching to pass the time before summer.

1. 'Terror' Season 3

Release Date: May 7, 2026

Streaming Platform: Shudder, AMC+

After a seven-year hiatus, the anthology series about history and mysticism is returning to screens, much to the delight of fans. The first season chronicled the misadventures of a British Arctic expedition; the second season focused on Japanese Americans after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

By the third season, the historical theme had faded, but the mysticism remained. The main character of the new installment is an unlucky longshoreman with a quarrelsome personality.

Following another outburst of anger, he is admitted to a psychiatric hospital, where he encounters hostility from doctors and patients, as well as a mysterious, otherworldly entity.

2. 'Spider-Noir'

Release Date: May 25, 2026

Streaming Platform: MGM+

Spider-Noir first appeared on screen in 2018 with the Oscar-winning animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The movie introduced viewers to different spider-themed worlds and superheroes.

One of them was Spider-Noir, voiced by Nicolas Cage. He lives in 1930s New York City, wears a coat and hat instead of red and blue tights, and fights the local mafia. Inspired by the character's positive reception, the filmmakers decided to dedicate an entire series to him.

Little is known about the plot: Spider-Noir, an aging private detective, will face challenges related to his tragic past.

3. 'The Boroughs'

Release Date: May 21, 2025

Streaming Platform: Netflix

The Duffer brothers, who produced the series, describe this show as "Stranger Things in a retirement home." After dealing with Hawkins, the filmmakers moved on to another seemingly idyllic town, Boroughs, where something else is going on.

The plot follows a group of retirees from an elite community who encounter an otherworldly force that steals their most precious possession: their time.

4. 'Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed'

Release Date: May 20, 2026

Streaming Platform: Apple TV+

This dark comedy, starring Tatiana Maslany, centers on a recently divorced woman fighting for custody of her child. Her difficult life circumstances trigger a profound personal crisis.

One day, she witnesses a crime and begins her own investigation, which draws her into a world of blackmail, murder, and intrigue connected to a youth football league.

5. 'Berlin' Season 2

Release Date: May 15, 2026

Streaming Platform: Netflix

Andrés de Fonollosa, aka Berlin, was the brilliant thief and most charismatic character in the series Money Heist, about the heist of the Royal Mint of Spain.

Fans loved the character so much that, in 2023, a spin-off series was created about him, set before the events of the original show. In it, Andrés assembles a team of young adventurers to steal royal jewels from the largest auction house in Paris.

In the upcoming season, the same characters move from Paris to Seville, Spain. This time, they must steal Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, The Lady with an Ermine.
