Severance is all about tension, work-life balance, and unpredictable twists, but you know what else is a true staple for this show? Seth Milchick’s dances.

If your social media feeds are not filled with everything Severance by today, then you probably live in a bubble, because the amazing finale of the show’s season 2 is the only thing everybody is talking about now. Speculating in the upcoming season 3, discussing theories, rewatching all the episodes once again to find more clues, watching all the interviews with the shows’ stars.

Yep, the fandom is slowly going insane, but seems like it’s… worth it?

However, while everyone is obsessing over the season finale, it seems that there are some things about season 1 that we have never heard of.

For example, if you're a fan, you probably remember Mr. Milchick's first iconic dance in episode 7 of the first season, which happened long before his Choreography and Merriment extravaganza. Well, we have news for you: it was totally improvised by the star of the show!

In a recent interview with Tom Power, on the CBC Podcast, Tramell Tillman revealed that his moves were the "absolute joy of the moment.” He called the dance "The Milchick Shimmy" and said he didn't even know the lights on the ceiling were dancing with him. Tillman’s genuine sense of music helped take AppleTV+’s Severance on another level and bring so much excitement to the viewers.

“I read somewhere that they didn't choreograph this at all, they just let the actors do their thing and this is what he came up with. It's my favorite scene too with how much of a divergence it is from the normal character behavior, and visually different too,” Redditor Aster_Yellow said.

That makes you think, maybe the iconic marching dance with the whole orchestra is also an improv of sorts? Well, this is yet to be revealed.

Another Perspective on the Dance Scene

During the same interview, Dylan actor Zach Cherry revealed that the scene wasn't that joyful for his character, because he was sitting there in his thoughts after the sneak peek into his outie's life. So everything that's going on around isn't so fun for him. However, Cherry himself said he was sorry he didn't get the chance to show off his dance moves.

Well, maybe in season 3 he’ll finally get the chance?
