A perfect chance for you to use those frozen fruits and berries that you’ve kept in your freezer for too long.

While some dessert recipes are made for big celebrations with friends and family, others are a perfect solution if you suddenly decided to have some kind of tea party with your loved ones after a family dinner.

This cake won’t take much time for preparing (the oven will take the most of responsibility) and will likely become your favorite that you can serve with any fruits and berries you like most — just add them to the final mixture and here it is!

Ingredients: 2 eggs, 1/3 tsp of salt, 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of semolina, 1 cup of fermented milk, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of berries, 1/2 cup (100 ml) of vegetable oil, 1 tsp of baking powder.

Crack the eggs into a bowl, add salt and sugar, and whisk lightly. Pour in the fermented milk, then add the flour, semolina, and baking powder, mixing well. Pour in the vegetable oil and mix again.

Coat the baking pan with oil, add the berries to the dough (frozen berries can be added straight from the freezer without defrosting) and mix gently, then pour the mixture into a 19×19 cm baking pan.

Place in an oven preheated to 180 °C and bake for about 40 minutes. If the top is browned but the cake is still raw inside, cover with foil and leave for another 10 minutes until done. Remove the finished cake, let it cool slightly, and serve with tea.
