A real life-saver for those not willing to spend hours on baking.

Even though we all would love to present some kind of exquisite pie or cake at a family dinner or at a gathering with friends, it often seems impossible just because those desserts don’t turn out the way they are in the best bakeries out there.

However, some recipes have simplified the entire process so that everyone could make a delicious pie at home — for instance, this apple pie that doesn’t even require eggs.

Ingredients: 600 g of apples, 140 g of flour, 160 g of semolina, 200 g of sugar, 1 g of salt, 5 g of baking powder, 100 g of butter.

Peel the apples if necessary, then grate them using a coarse grater or chop them in any convenient way.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, semolina, sugar, salt, and baking powder to form a dry mixture.

Line a baking pan with parchment paper and rub some cold butter onto the bottom.

Pour in a third of the dry mixture, spread it out, and arrange half of the apples on top.

Add another layer of the dry mixture, then the remaining apples, and cover everything with the final layer of dry ingredients.

Grate the remaining butter on top and, if you like, sprinkle lightly with sugar for a golden crust.

Place in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about 60 minutes until a golden brown crust forms.
