Released just several days ago, The Bear’s season 4 made fans speculate about the show’s future — now it’s all clear.

Things were steaming up in The Bear’s fourth instalment released on June 25, and it seems like the show will keep such a pace for at least one more season.

With The Bear now officially getting a fifth season per Variety’s report, fans can now sleep tight knowing that there will at least be some sort of resolution for a major problem that the restaurant of the same name faced in the fourth instalment’s finale.

‘The Bear’ Season 4 Saw “Incredibly High Viewership”

It’s been pretty clear all along that the highly anticipated instalment will get just as high attention since it’s promised to follow Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy through his and his team’s attempts to get a Michelin star for their restaurant called “The Bear”.

“’The Bear’ continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season—as seen through incredibly high viewership—has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons. Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make ‘The Bear’ one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story”, FX’s chairman John Landgraf revealed in a statement shared by Variety.

Despite the brand new season’s increased viewership, it still debuted with the lowest critical score on Rotten Tomatoes among The Bear’s all four seasons, now sitting at 84% while seasons 1, 2 and 3 hold scores of 100%, 99% and 89% respectively.

With all 10 episodes released on Hulu on the same day, the new season had fans worrying whether the finale was just a cliffhanger for yet another instalment to resolve or rather the complete end of things for The Bear.

In there, Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy is having a hard time as he reveals to Sydney, Cousin Richie and Natalie that he fell out of love with cooking and spent a significant amount of time thinking about passing the ownership rights over the restaurant to the three of them.

Apart from that, there were also circulating rumours about the leading cast’s incompatible work schedule since at least White, Edebiri and Moss-Bachrach seemingly had trouble reuniting on the set in between their own respective projects.

When Will ‘The Bear’ Season 5 Be Released?

The show is yet to announce its fifth season’s premiere date, though it’s safe to say The Bear’s new episodes will likely arrive on Hulu sometime in the summer of 2026.
