Get you a soulmate like a dragon that understands you without commands.

What is the most enchanting chemistry in House of the Dragon? Some may think it's Daemon and Rhaenyra, others will clearly root for Rhaenyra and Alicent, but there is an entire camp of HoTD fans who absolutely love the way Daemon and his dragon Caraxes are connected.

It's clear that every dragon shares a special bond with its rider.

However, with Daemon and Caraxes, the bond seems to be so strong that the snake-like dragon does not even need any commands from his rider to do precisely what he wants him to do.

One Major Game of Thrones Character Won't Return in Jon Snow's Spinoff

One of the House of the Dragon moments that illustrates it perfectly, when Daemon gathers a couple of knights to ask them whether they pledge their loyalty to Rhaenyra or would rather prefer to side with Alicent.

Meanwhile, Caraxes appears from behind, serving as an effective hint at what's coming should Daemon not like the answer.

According to fans, there is a reason to the bond between Daemon and Caraxes being so deep.

"[It] seems that he has the least expectations of his dragon out of the riders and allows the most freedom for his. His dragon gets to be a dragon more so than any of the other currently living dragons i'd argue more than Vhagar. The mutual respect and lack of a power dynamic in their bond allows them to hold nothing back and be in sync," Redditor NiteLiteOfficial said.

Pondering the bond between his character and Caraxes, Matt Smith suggested that the two were in fact some sort of "avatars" for each other. This was also noted by fans.

"I absolutely love it, when Caraxes lifts his wings at the same time Daemon lifts his arms to shield him from the arrows it just captures the idea perfectly," Redditor perkiezombie wrote.

The first season of House of the Dragon wrapped up earlier in October. Season 2 is set to start filming in early 2023, with the premiere date to be announced by HBO later.
