The teaser for the long-awaited final season of The Boys was a real treat for fans, which fueled new theories. Shots of the seemingly invincible Homelander and his new (or rather old) ally, Soldier Boy, strolling through the desert sparked all sorts of speculation.
The most intriguing image, however, was the appearance of Jared Padalecki, whose mysterious role instantly captivated fans.
One compelling theory about his character's identity fits perfectly into the world of the series.
Jared Padalecki Will Most Likely Play a Supe, Specifically Mister Marathon
Jared Padalecki's appearance was met with delight. In a brief scene, his character is portrayed as confident and unflappable as he converses with Homelander and Soldier Boy, showing no fear of them.
This suggests that he is their equal. The leading theory is that Padalecki will play a superhero named Mister Marathon. The series previously alluded to this character as one of the "missing" superheroes, retired or in hiding.

At the end of Season 4, Homelander declared martial law in the US, and his ambitions now threaten the entire world. Weakened by internal conflicts and betrayals, Billy Butcher's team is forced to muster its last strength for a decisive battle.
Butcher's time is running out due to his use of Temp V, so he is betting on a deadly supervirus discovered in Gen V.
However, this weapon may not be enough to defeat the alliance of two of the most powerful supervillains: Homelander and his father, Soldier Boy.

Amazon Prime Video has announced the premiere date for the fifth and final season of The Boys – April 8, 2025.
Not only will the season conclude the story of The Boys and The Seven's confrontation, it will also pave the way for the prequel, Vought Rising, which has already been announced and will further explore the story of Soldier Boy.
