The Breakfast You'll Crave Every Morning: Perfectly Crispy Avocado Toast with a Jammy Egg
The perfect avocado toast recipe you’ve been looking for all this time.
It’s been long said that breakfast is one of the essential parts of our day, so it’s extremely important to not only include it in your morning routine, but also make it look and taste nice. Several years ago, many cafes across the world introduced the famous avocado toast that since then has gone viral, with many trying to make the same breakfast in their own kitchen.
However, the number of those recipes is limitless, yet it seems like we found the perfect one with the best texture.
Here’s what you need: 1 slice of toast, 1 egg, ½ avocado, 70 g of fresh spinach, vegetable oil for frying, 1 tbsp of butter, 1 tbsp of vinegar, pumpkin seeds for garnish, sesame seeds to your liking, salt to taste.
Sprinkle both sides of the toast with vegetable oil. Heat a skillet and fry the bread over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, until it’s golden brown and crispy.
Melt the butter in the skillet and lightly fry the spinach until tender.
Pour water into a saucepan and bring it almost to a boil, without letting it bubble too much. Add vinegar and use a whisk to create a small whirlpool in the water. Carefully crack the egg into the water and cook it for 3-4 minutes to make a poached egg.
Wash the avocado, cut it in half, remove the pit, and slice the flesh.
Assemble the toast: place the cooked spinach on the toasted bread, arrange the avocado slices on top, and carefully place the poached egg. Before serving, sprinkle the toast with pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds, and add a little salt if necessary.
