The Easiest Healthy Breakfast: Crunchy Homemade Granola in Minutes
No oven needed.
When it comes to choosing something to eat for breakfast, everyone wants a meal both delicious and healthy, though quite few are ready to wake up half an hour earlier to prepare it. However, with this recipe, you won’t have such a problem — if you’re a granola fan, then rejoice, since you can easily make it within just five minutes and using your microwave only.
Ingredients: 150 g of quick-cooking rolled oats, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tbsp of vegetable oil, 40 g of walnuts.
Pour the oats into a microwave-safe bowl. Add the honey.
Pour in the oil. The vegetable oil will help the ingredients bind together and give the granola a crunchy texture.
Add the shredded coconut. You can also add dried berries and dried fruit if you like.
Chop the nuts slightly. Mix everything together. Don’t cut the nuts too finely so they retain a pleasant texture in the granola.
Place in the microwave and cook for about 5 minutes. Stir every 30–40 seconds; that ensures even heating and prevents burning. Make sure the oats don’t clump together.
The granola should turn golden brown. This color is a sign that the oat flakes have heated through and become crispy. If the granola gets too dark, reduce the microwave power.
