‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Ends With a Huge Avengers Tease

Marvel’s new potential hit will follow its predecessors’ suit with multiple post-credit scenes, also featuring a major update on Marvel’s future big movie.
The countdown is still on for Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps as the movie is set to arrive in theatres this Friday, but fans know they’ll have to wait until the credits stop rolling.
Just like any other superhero film produced by Marvel, The Fantastic Four will follow the same tradition of teasing what’s in store for the cinematic universe’s future in post-credit scenes.
These, as fans have long suspected, will likely have something to do with Marvel’s other upcoming potential hit, Avengers: Doomsday that will see all the superheroes reuniting after the devastating finale in Endgame.
The speculations, however, have just received a confirmation, and fans better stick around for the movie’s credits.
How Many Post-Credit Scenes Will ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Feature?
As some reports revealed ahead of the movie’s highly anticipated release this Friday, The Fantastic Four will follow a slightly different, but still the same scheme that Marvel has been using in its films for years.
As of now, The Fantastic Four is believed to have two post-credit scenes, with one of these being a lighthearted comical sequence and the other one teasing some major events in Avengers: Doomsday.
To compare, the studio’s previous flick, Thunderbolts*, also featured two post-credit scenes, the first of which was comical one and the second teasing.
However, things seem to be different with The Fantastic Four as it’s now believed that the movie’s first post-credit scene will be a sneak peek into Marvel’s future followed by another humorous sequence.
Kevin Feige Says ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Post-Credit Scenes Were Directed by Russo Brothers
It’s fair to say Marvel’s first family is being tied to Avengers sooner than many expected as Endgame and Doomsday’s directors Joe and Anthony Russo were there to take control over The Fantastic Four’s post-credit scenes.
As Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige revealed recently, the sequences were shot back-to-back with Avengers: Doomsday’s principal filming.
“The Russos directed that on the set of Avengers: Doomsday, not something that I directed, but we've always known that that sort of tease would be a part of the credits for this movie. A lot to set up and how that scene evolved over the years have we had many different versions of how that could happen”, Feige said at the The Fantastic Four: First Steps roundtable (via ScreenRant).
The Fantastic Four: First Steps starts playing in theatres worldwide on July 25.
