The Young Sheldon star confirmed the hilarious callback.

The CBS coming-of-age sitcom Young Sheldon is known for its numerous references to The Big Bang Theory. After all, Young Sheldon serves as a spin-off prequel to Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady's show, which entails many plot connections and Easter eggs that should delight TBBT fans.

However, attentive viewers will notice references to other hit shows. In fact, the most recent nod to Friends was hard to miss.

In Episode 13 of Season 6, A Frat Party, a Sleepover and the Mother of All Blisters, which aired last week, Sheldon follows fellow wunderkind Paige to a college party where he accidentally meets his twin sister, Missy, and saves a drunk Paige from a reckless act of spending the night with a college student.

The three then have a frank conversation near a fountain, in which Paige reveals that despite being a genius, she feels lonely and unhappy. That's why she drinks so much.

During the scene, Paige vomits into a fountain, and the twins take her to Sheldon's dorm room to sleep it off.

Friends fans couldn't help but recognize the fountain that served as the backdrop for Paige's emotional confession. It looked too much like the fountain from the opening credits of the beloved sitcom.

And Raegan Revord, the actress who plays Missy, soon confirmed via her Instagram that it was indeed the same fountain. The story with the confirmation has since disappeared from the feed, but eagle-eyed fans managed to make screenshots.

The fact that the Friends fountain appeared in the scene where Paige was talking about the lack of friends in her life is a nice and meaningful Easter egg, which may mean that Paige will be getting closer to the Cooper twins as the season progresses.

Interestingly, this is not the first time the fountain has appeared in a project other than Friends. In fact, it was part of several movies and shows filmed at the Warner Bros. Ranch.

The fountain is located on a lot called Park Boulevard, supposedly meant to resemble Boston, and has been spotted in The Family Tree, The Empty Nest, The Monkees, The Flying Nun, Lois & Clark, West Wing, Birds of Prey, Dennis the Menace, Bewitched, The Premonition, and other projects, now including Young Sheldon.

It is uncanny how many fictional locations the Burbank, California-based fountain has changed.
