They’re just too annoying.

Being loyal to a show is hard when it’s not something that lasts for just a couple of seasons. The storylines change, characters come and go, unsatisfying resolutions happen all the time, making fans start hating what they used to love dearly.

The same happened with The Good Doctor fans several times during the course of the show. The Good Doctor premiered on ABC in 2017 and became a hit immediately because of the unusual premise.

At the center of the medical drama is a young man named Shaun Murphy who suffers from autistic disorder and savant syndrome, but pursues his dream of becoming a surgeon anyway. And succeeds!

For 7 seasons, with the latest season premiering in 2024 and confirmed to be the last, Shaun is shown with many other characters like his mentor Dr. Aaron Glassman and doctors Marcus Andrews and Audrey Lim are going through a lot of drama.

Over the years, many other characters were introduced to the show and became fan favorites, like Dr. Asher Wolke, for example. But it seems that the latest addition to the series ended up just disappointing the fans.

“Am I the only one that feels this way? I can hardly watch. The bad acting and storyline. I feel like there wasn’t even a need to bring them on. It’s making the show hard to watch” Redditor Gullible_Battle_7210 said.

In season 7 we met two cast members: Kayla Cromer and Wavyy Jonez, and both of them play recurring characters of the final season of the show. They both play third year medical students Dom and Charlie.

We find out that Charlie admires Shaun and has always dreamed of working with him. But most importantly, Charlie is also autistic. But unlike Shaun, who never hides behind that fact to justify his mistakes, she does it all the time, and frankly, the viewers found it rather irritating.

The only thing that made fans happy is the fact that she is not going to have her own spinoff as they first thought, because ABC never announced any intention to create one.

Anyway, if you feel the need to finish the show despite everything we said, The Good Doctor is available to stream on Hulu.
