The Handmaid’s Tale Fans Ready to Accept Any Ending — Except This One

As The Handmaid's Tale draws to a close with just two episodes left, fans are speculating about the finale. And one thing they don't want is more questions.
The Handmaid's Tale episode 6 was a real deal breaker that ended up raising a lot of questions about what comes next in the show and how everything will be resolved. With Nick betraying June and finally showing his true self, fans are wondering how this will affect Mayday and who is in danger now.
As fans speculate on each character’s fate, there’s one thing they all seem to agree on: anything is better than an open ending. Whether it's death, survival, or betrayal, they just want resolution. The worst-case scenario? Being left with more questions than answers.
“I just hope it’s not an open ending and we just have to let it live in our imagination,” SuburbanNomadCO said.
However, they are pretty sure that even if not everything, at least one storyline will be left open for the sequel to work.
Predictions for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Finale
Talking about the show’s sequel, The Testaments, it’s obvious that Aunt Lydia should be kept alive in the end of The Handmaid’s Tale to show up in the upcoming new show. As for Serena, fans are sure she will end up dead during the Wedding, which is going to be a sort of Red Wedding.
Fans believe there will also be mass hangings after the coup takes place in the finale, and that Janine won’t survive as well.
“Especially after Jezebels got shut down, I will be very surprised if Janine survives. The whole reason they’re there is because it’s that or the colonies. She can’t even go back to being a handmaid, because she can’t have kids anymore,” Redditor lordmwahaha said.
