The Office On-Screen Romance That Turned Out to Be Very Real

Not the one you were hoping for, probably.
The Office gave us a lot of unique characters and definitely made us fall in love with them. But the characters themselves were not always so fond of each other.
Like when old-school Angela almost accused Pam of being an office slut because of her "provocative clothes" (seriously?).
Or their mutual hatred of Nick, the IT guy, in the final seasons.
But there was one extraordinary storyline that never failed to touch the hearts of fans and make them laugh. Yes, it's the relationship between Michael and Toby.
For no particular reason, Michael hated Toby so much that he couldn't even breathe the same air as him.
But it never seems to have bothered Toby, played by Paul Lieberstein, because he never really showed passion for anything.
My boss hates me? That's okay. My wife left me? Well, I still have a daughter. But one thing that made his heart pound was... Pam.
Toby had a huge crush on the receptionist, but he never told her. And when he realized that the opportunity was gone and she was in a happy relationship with Jim – he made one last attempt to make her jealous.
So in season 5, he showed up at work with his then-girlfriend Amy, played by Janine Poreba. But just bringing her along wasn't enough, so he kissed her passionately in front of Pam, Jim and the whole office.
Fans remember how awkward the scene was. But one detail actually made it really sweet. It turned out that Poreba was in fact Lieberstein's girlfriend.
They even got married in 2008 and have been married ever since.
What's more, Paul's wife has had multiple roles in many of his projects, so it's obvious that she supports her husband in every movie or series he's worked on as creator and producer.
That's what we call teamwork!
