The actress had no idea The Office would be running for that long — so she had a backup plan.
The Office’s Dunder Mifflin was ironically what brought the show’s leading cast a major net worth of millions.
However, at least one of its members made sure there was something to be left with in case the series didn’t run for nine seasons straight.
Launched back in 2005, The Office was an instant hit when its first instalment was released, promising a much better and brighter future for the American remake than the British original series.
Still, it wasn’t until season 3 filming that the show’s leading actress Angela Kinsey quit her second job which she kept so long for a reason.
Angela Kinsey Worked in Local Theatre’s Box Office While Filming ‘The Office’ Seasons 1 and 2
It seems like the actress was dividing her time between two offices, the one of Dunder Mifflin and a cinema theatre that would keep her afloat if The Office ended sooner than it eventually did.
As Kinsey, who portrayed uptight Angela Martin in the show, revealed recently, she kept her side gig until season 3 filming when she started feeling secure enough about her financial situation and saved some money for the uncertain future.
“I just knew that even though I was on a hit show, that I would need to be already thinking ahead and strategizing ahead about what’s my next job. Don’t take anything for granted and save”, Kinsey said in an interview with CNBC’s Make It.
Apart from the saving part, Kinsey didn’t take it all out for a new car either when her previous one suddenly broke down in the midst of filming.
Instead, the actress opted for an old Honda that she would drive around, hoping to have enough income and savings for a better car in the future.
“I tried to keep a level head now that I had consistent income, knowing that everything has a finite end date and that consistent income would eventually go away, and I didn’t want to be stuck with a lot of big purchases”, she added.
Angela Kinsey’s Net Worth Is Currently Estimated $8 Million
It’s fair to say the actress’ plan did work out as she gradually increased her income by the time The Office wrapped back in 2013.
Despite the show’s end, Kinsey continued working on the same agenda by starting a weekly podcast called “Office Ladies” alongside her co-star Jenna Fischer, with the two eventually also collaborating on several other projects.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kinsey’s net worth is currently as high as $8 million, which is a number accumulated for her acting credits, publications and work as an influencer and podcaster.
