After this recipe, your breakfast will never be dull and tasteless.

Many people across the world have oatmeal as their first-thought breakfast idea, though it doesn’t always turn out to be really tasty and smooth. Some, however, have already found out what the problem was, having carried out an experiment and rinsed their oats before cooking it.

The result was none less than surprising, so make sure you try doing the same while making yourself oatmeal for breakfast next time. For your convenience, the full recipe is already here.

Ingredients: 1 cup of coarse oat flakes with cooking instructions of 30 minutes, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of milk, a pinch of salt, sugar to taste, butter to taste.

For starters, it is better to choose large, non-instant flakes, since they have a richer flavor and pleasant texture. Plus, they are large and do not get soggy when washed.

Before cooking, rinse them in cold water. You can use a colander or simply rinse them in a pot about four times, just like rice. Bring a mixture of milk and water to a boil in a saucepan, add a pinch of salt, and pour in the prepared flakes. Reduce the heat and cook the oatmeal for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes soft and creamy. Add sugar.

When the oatmeal is ready, remove it from the heat and add a piece of butter.
