An upgraded version of the hot dog that your entire family will love.

Even though the diversity and affordability of street food allows us to try all kinds of these meals in the best spots in town, sometimes a thought of trying to make the favorite junk food at home pops up.

Some might have experienced the same after trying the iconic cheesesteak somewhere on the streets of Philadelphia, the city the dish was born in. In fact, preparing the cheesesteak isn’t as difficult as it might seem, so get all the ingredients for the best dinner you’ll have this week.

Here’s what you need: 1 onion, ground black pepper and salt to taste, 2 sprigs of parsley, 2 cloves of garlic, 2 sprigs of thyme, 2 bell peppers, 1 chili pepper, olive oil to taste, 2 sprigs of cilantro, 150 ml of beer, 250 g of beef steak, 1 round bun, 150 g of raclette cheese.

Heat a skillet with olive oil, then add the thyme sprigs and garlic cloves. Cook the garlic until the oil becomes fragrant.

Cut the bell pepper into segments and the onion into half-rings. Add them to the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes. Pour in a little beer to soften the vegetables and add a special flavor. Simmer for 5 minutes over medium heat.

Add finely chopped chili pepper, chopped cilantro, and parsley. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes.

Season the beef with salt and pepper. Grill until medium. Slice thinly.

Make two lengthwise cuts in the bun to open it up. Lightly toast the bun on the grill until a crust forms.

Melt the raclette cheese in a separate pan until it becomes liquid.

Assemble the sandwich: place the meat in the bun, top with the braised vegetables, and drizzle with the melted cheese.
