'The Sandman' Season 2 Trailer: Dream Faces Epic Challenges in Final Chapter

Netflix drops main trailer for final Sandman season with Sturridge.
In the trailer, Dream is battling not only for his survival but for the very existence of The Dreaming as chaos unfolds around him. Death, played by Kirby Howell-Baptiste, poignantly reminds us:
"Everyone loves a good story, but all stories come to an end."
The season’s release is split into three parts: the first six episodes premiere on 6 July, followed by five more episodes on 24 July. A bonus episode focusing on Death will be released on 31 July.
Season 2 follows Dream of the Endless as he confronts impossible decisions to save himself, his realm, and the waking world from the consequences of his past mistakes. To seek redemption, Dream must face old friends and foes, gods, monsters, and mortals alike. The journey to forgiveness promises unexpected twists, and true absolution may come at a great cost.
The season adapts key storylines from the comics, including Season of Mists, Brief Lives, The Kindly Ones, and The Sandman: Overture, as well as fan-favourite single-issue tales like Tales in the Sand, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Song of Orpheus, Thermidor, and The Tempest.
Developed by Allan Heinberg, who serves as showrunner and executive producer, the series is also executive produced by David S. Goyer and Neil Gaiman. All episodes are directed by Jamie Childs, with writing credits to Ameni Rozsa, Alex Newman-Wise, Austin Guzman, Shadi Petosky, Jim Campolongo, Vanessa Benton, Jay Franklin, Greg Goetz, and Marina Marlens. Warner Bros. Television produces the series.
