You’ll be surprised by how easy it is to cook (spoiler: you knew this recipe all along).

With popular video games like Sims still taking the world by storm years after their release, it’s not really surprising to see fans trying to copycat some of their characters’ routine in the real life. This also concerns all the now famous recipes from Sims 3 that eventually turned into numerous digital recipes and cookbooks sold across the internet.

Though the name for Goopy Carbonara says it all itself, you might be tempted to prepare the dish, especially since it still can’t be called the classic carbonara pasta.

Ingredients: 150 g of spaghetti, 120 g of bacon, 1 red onion, 30 ml of olive oil, 70 g of Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, 2 egg yolks, salt and ground black pepper to taste, 0.25 tsp of dried basil, ground paprika to taste, 1 pinch of ground coriander, 1 pinch of Italian herb mix, 5 g of parsley.

Peel, wash, and finely chop the red onion. Place it in a skillet with olive oil and fry for 3–4 minutes.

Next, add the chopped bacon and fry for another 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, over medium heat. The bacon should be crispy around the edges.

Pour water into a pot and bring to a boil, then add salt. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Pour a few spoonfuls of the spaghetti cooking water into a separate bowl. Drain the rest by putting the spaghetti in a colander. Add it to the pan with the onions and bacon.

Crack one egg and two egg yolks into a bowl and beat lightly. Add salt, ground black pepper, dried basil, ground coriander, Italian herb mix, and ground paprika. Pour in a few spoonfuls of the water used to cook the spaghetti. Mix these ingredients together.

Pour the egg and spice mixture over the spaghetti with onions and bacon. Add the grated cheese.

Sprinkle with chopped parsley and stir. Heat for a few more minutes, then turn off the stove. Serve it on a plate, sprinkle with grated cheese and garnish to your taste.
