The recipe for the best snack sauce that will make you the king or queen of the neighborhood’s parties.

Though summertime is yet to come, warm sunny days are already here, which means it’s time for backyard parties with your friends and neighbors. Alongside some classic recipes that you always use for serving snacks while hanging out in the fresh air, consider making this delicious buffalo chicken dip, the recipe for which your friends will surely be dying to know.

The taste is just like the famous Buffalo chicken, though this time you can accompany it with chips, vegetables or toasted bread.

Here’s what you need: 2 cups of chopped cooked chicken, ½ cup of spicy Buffalo-style sauce (like Frank's RedHot), ½ cup of lemon juice, ¼ cup of sour cream, 4 ounces of softened cream cheese, ½ cup of grated white cheddar, ¼ cup of crumbled blue cheese, 1½ teaspoons of minced garlic (or to taste), something for serving (celery sticks, carrots, bread, potato chips, or tortilla chips).

Preheat the oven to 375°F (about 190°C).

In a cast-iron or oven-safe dish, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and hot sauce, and simmer until the sauce thickens and reduces by half (2–3 minutes).

Turn off the heat, then stir in the lemon juice, sour cream, and cream cheese until combined. Sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.

Bake until bubbles form around the edges and the cheese is melted (about 10 minutes). If you want the top to brown, you can place it under the broiler for a minute or two.

Right after baking, top with blue cheese and garlic. Serve with chips, bread, or vegetables for dipping.
